TREES MADE FROM RECYCLING:
The New Scholastic Year
by Yanika Gravina
Dear Friend, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to tell you about the new scholastic year.
Monday 26th September was a red letter day because the new scholastic year had started. I am now in year six and this year is my last year in Primary School. My mum drove me to school on the first day. During the assembly, which was held in the school hall, we sang the Maltese National Anthem. After that, we all went to our classroom.
As soon as I entered I was surprised because there were two fish in a plastic tank. We named them Scooby and Nemo. The classroom has modern curtains printed with green, blue and white shapes. The walls of the classroom are painted light green, matching the curtains.
Our teacher asked us our names and we all started to get to know each other. My teacher gave us our seating arrangement. We soon started our English lesson. It was then break time and my classmates let out a sigh of relief. When the break ended we continued with our work.
We had a good time working and learning new things. During break time we turned on the class computers and drew a picture of our class. By the time break time was over, we were lucky to have finished our drawing and we handed it to our teacher. She put up our drawing on the notice board. We all went home happy because we all liked our hard working and dedicated teacher.
I am off to do my homework now. Please write soon.
